It wasn’t that long ago that the foul-mouthed, corrupt Democrat running Chicago, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, was appealing to the moral fiber of gangs in his city by telling them to stay away from children.  Based on the record of his administration, he doesn’t seem to have much to say about the gangs attacking parents, or other adults.  This idiotic proclamation was but one small window into the backwards and unrelentingly twisted sense of ethics held by the liberal Mayor.

Under his leadership – and with all his bold gun control legislation – the city of Chicago has plummeted into the realm of third-world nation status, finding its streets more dangerous than those of Fallujah.  Still, Obama’s former right hand man, has taken it upon himself to take a tough stand for right and wrong in the city when it comes to another crisis: Biblical morality expressed by the owner of a fast food chicken restaurant.  Yes, precisely the thing that the dying people of Chicago need.  Chicken wars.

Mayor Emanuel is following the imbecilic lead of Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, who proclaimed that Chick-fil-A doesn’t belong in Boston.  Remember, to these open minded liberals, if you don’t believe like they do, the government should stop you from owning and operating a business.  Who are the fascists again?  Here’s the scoop from Chi-town:

The anti-gay views openly espoused by the president of a fast food chain specializing in chicken sandwiches have run afoul of Mayor Rahm Emanuel and a local alderman, who are determined to block Chick-fil-A from expanding in Chicago.

Okay, first of all, this is another example of the framing-the-issue bias of the media.  The statements of the president of Chick-fil-A were pro-God and pro-Biblical morality, not anti-gay.  Unless you are willing to use the phrase “anti-gay” to define God – which would be a bit of a mischaracterization given the fact that Jesus died on the cross for them too – you shouldn’t be using it to describe Cathy’s views.  Unless of course, your purpose isn’t to report but to distort.

“Chick-fil-A’s values are not Chicago values. They’re not respectful of our residents, our neighbors and our family members. And if you’re gonna be part of the Chicago community, you should reflect Chicago values,” Emanuel said Wednesday.

It is “not respectful” of the residents of Chicago to express Biblical morality?  My, my, isn’t this revealing.  I know that under Emanuel, Chicago has descended into the 3rd layer of Hell, but I didn’t realize that the Mayor was comfortable making that official.

But beyond that, don’t lose sight of what’s being said and implied here.  It answers the question once for all who the bigots, and the close-minded freaks are...and they aren’t on the right.  This liberal Mayor is announcing that if you hold to Biblical morality, you should not be allowed to operate a business within the city’s limits.  The Mayor is going to work to ensure that Chick-fil-A not be able to do so simply because they have Biblically minded leadership.  How this does not provoke steaming outrage from every quarter is a mystery to me. 

I don’t care if you are a Biblical person or not.  If you are an American, this should wake you up to where the creeping threat of fascism resides.  You don’t see conservatives seeking to use the force of government to obliterate the rights of conscience for non-believers.  The “gay movement” is not about civil rights.  It’s about the obliteration of rights (specifically religious rights and the rights of conscience) of everyone who won’t submit themselves to the tyranny of this anti-God movement.

It’s time to take a stand.  And get vocal about it.
