I am one who is firmly of the belief that conservatives enjoy a widespread popular support in the so-called culture war.  On the issues that matter in society – those that define life and family and sexuality – I believe that most Americans hold to a more conservative approach.  That is reflected in some polls like the ones that show people self-identify as conservative 2 to 1 over liberal.  That isn’t reflected in other polls like the ones where Americans are supposedly more accepting of certain kinds of sexual practices that have traditionally been out of the mainstream. 

There are a lot of explanations for those latter polls, as we’ve talked about on the program before.  There are certainly many Americans who hold to their personal views quietly and out of the public eye.  And there are also many Americans that I have suggested will say publicly that they stand with something like the homosexual “rights” movement, but in the privacy of a voting booth reject that which they know to be unnatural and immoral. 

If I’m right, then one of the smartest things conservatives can do in the culture war is to put on full display who these leftist radicals are that are attempting a cultural revolution in America.  Let those dormant American majorities see where our country ends up and what embraces if the liberal view is allowed to ascend and dominate.  Show them press releases and news stories like this:

Planned Parenthood is an intricate organization that often finds itself in the cross-hairs of controversy. If not for its abortion services, the group sometimes catches fire for the bizarre activities and marketing techniques it uses. Consider the Six Rivers Planned Parenthood of Eureka, California, and its pro-abortion prayer campaign — an initiative we covered last month. Now, Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida is apparently launching a new celebratory campaign – Masturbation Month.

On Friday, the local affiliate tweeted, “Happy Masturbation Month! We’ve got lots of info on masturbation here,“ with a link to a web page chock full of information detailing the ”harmful myths about masturbation.”

Too many Americans think of things like birth control and mammograms when they think of Planned Parenthood.  They think of a pro-woman health center that helps the less fortunate.  In other words, they think of everything Planned Parenthood isn’t (they don’t even perform mammograms) because that is the caricature that is drawn of them by a sympathetic liberal media. 

Though the numerous exposés of Planned Parenthood’s corruption that have been done by Lila Rose and other conservative young people have begun to shake the scales from our country’s collective eyes, there is much work to be done.  Americans need to understand that when they listen to Democrats and agree to taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood, they are funding announcements like this one about “self-gratification month.”  This is the type of sick, depraved activity that defines who and what Planned Parenthood is – not just self-gratification, but other sexual experimentation as well.  Including kinds that are far more dangerous. 

Warping the minds and the hearts of young people, fueling a sexually depraved mentality that draws our society closer to the brink of moral oblivion.  That’s what Planned Parenthood is, that’s what Republicans want to defund, forcing them to sink or swim on the basis of their own ability to raise funds for their depravity propagation campaign.  Next time you hear Democrats talking about the irreplaceable role of Planned Parenthood, remember this tweet.
