One of the most closely watched primary match-ups in the country is the U.S. Senate race between longtime incumbent Indiana Senator Richard Lugar of Virginia and the Indiana State Treasurer, Richard Mourdock. Outside groups have poured lots of money into attack ads on both sides and polls show the race neck and neck as it heads to the finish line.

In the midst of this tight race, we had Richard Mourdock on the radio program to talk about the race. I asked him a number of questions regarding his debate claims that Richard Lugar supported illegal immigration, what he thought about the tone of the race, the outside money that has been spent in it, the comparisons between his primary opponent (Lugar) and his potential general election opponent (Silent Joe Donnelly), and a host of other issues.
