It’s absolutely revolting. Barack Obama has a horrendous record on the economy, on energy, on foreign affairs, and about everything else. But this is worse. Far worse. If you hadn’t heard, President Obama is the most aggressively pro-abortion president in our nation’s history. And he recently reaffirmed his unyielding commitment to legalized child killing in a speech to the nation’s largest abortion factory, Planned Parenthood:
In an unusually candid video addressed to Planned Parenthood, President Obama assured the billion-dollar abortion organization of his continued support and touted his record blocking efforts to defund the group by pro-life “professional politicians.”
Yes, because it takes a “professional politician” to believe in the Declaration of Independence, doesn’t it, Mr. President. There are many issues that I find the president’s wisdom sorely lacking, but there aren’t any where I see a manifestly evil mentality save this one. There’s just no other word for it when you pause to consider what he is defending. These are innocent babies being mutilated. And the President of the United States champions it.
And worse than that, consider that this is a video being used to help him raise money from the abortion giant and its supporters. The President is dealing in blood money.
The president concluded: “I know that Planned Parenthood will continue providing care no matter what. I know you’ll never stop fighting to protect the health care and the choices that America’s women deserve.
“And as long as I have the privilege of being your president, neither will I.”
It’s kind of amazing how such a line meant to convey strength and courage actually demonstrates what a coward Mr. Obama is. Saying that you’re not going to stop fighting to protect “choice” means nothing unless you identify what choice you are fighting for.
Certainly the President isn’t fighting for the choice of poor, underprivileged kids in the District of Columbia who don’t have rich president dads to send them to elite private schools, to have the choice to utilize the life-changing and extremely successful DC Scholars Program that he shut down. So what “choice” might we be talking about? The choice to kill children in the womb. Say it, Mr. President. If you are going to defend it and try to win votes and money from it, at least have the guts to say it.
Of course, if you actually listen to the whole statement objectively, you’d realize that honesty is not exactly Mr. Obama’s (or Planned Parenthood’s) top priority.
Obama extolled Planned Parenthood’s “fight” for women in the video, suggesting that the group helped women receive “mammograms,” alongside praise for its efforts providing affordable contraception.
Why is that a big deal? Here’s why:
Kristan Hawkins, head of Students for Life of America, called it “outrageous” that Obama would repeat the claim that Planned Parenthood performs mammograms, after extensive coverage pointing out that the abortion organization does not provide the service.
“Somehow the White House has missed the memo that PLANNED PARENTHOOD DOESN’T PROVIDE MAMMOGRAMS. How could they have missed that?” wrote Hawkins.
“And why is Planned Parenthood posting videos that say as much, when they have already been caught in the lie?”
Kristan knows the answer, but let’s say it anyway: because the President’s focus is raising money, and Planned Parenthood’s focus is the same. The more abortions there are, the more Planned Parenthood thrives. The more Planned Parenthood thrives, the more donation money Barack Obama gets. It’s a bloody circle that isn’t concerned about honesty.
When you make a living by killing infants and tossing trash bags of their lifeless bodies into trash bins behind your building, or when you make a living by praising that horrific reality as a “legal choice” that is “providing care,” honesty and virtue isn’t on your radar screen.
This is as evil as it gets. That isn’t a partisan statement either – some of those babies having their heads sawed off in the womb would have been Democrats.
