Boycotting the Good Guys

Well, the Big Entertainment airheads are at it again. Actually, they never quit.

 

I read where American musician Cat Power - who is that? - has canceled her show in Israel. Turns out, there is a growing list of entertainers shunning Israel because of their conflict with Palestinians.

 

 

The calls are to accuse the Jewish state of "apartheid" and to boycott the only government in the area established upon human freedom.

 

Without any thought whatsoever, Big Entertainment airheads jump on this bandwagon. Well, we don't have to worry about them using their brains to actually learn some facts behind the Israeli-Palestinian issues. They really don't have to do much in the way of significant research. Just answer a simple question: in which other Middle East countries are they allowed to perform?

"They really don't have to do much in the way of significant research"?, Maybe instead of just having "faith" in the word of people like you they actually did some research and came to their own conclusion. Israel "may" have been founded on human freedom but now they are dedicated to the imposition of their beliefs on the people on whom they are placing embargos & martial law. Refusing to kowtow to the payday from the powers that be on principle is a sign of strong moral character.

Maybe they did do their own research. I certainly do not post so that people can place their "faith" in my word. The "imposition of their beliefs" is one of survival. Do you interpret human freedom to include national suicide if attacks and threats are ignored? What do you make of the various missile assaults that are lobbed into Israel on a routine basis? Not implying that those displaced people should be mistreated or without homes, but when was Palestine ever theirs? Seems like the Turkish rulers could have turned Palestine over to the Palestinians instead of selling their swamp land to Jewish organizations. Anyway, I base my conclusions of available evidence, not pop-culture wishful thinking.

Israel has expanded far beyond the borders established by the united nations displacing the Palestinians who were lliving in what did not used to be Israel. Those "various missile assaults" are what you get when you displace people from their land and refuse them their basic human rights, the Palestinians are fighting for their own "survival". Now Israel is using our $3 billion foreign aid to execute state sanctioned assassinations of Iranian scientists which is in turn costing American taxpayers at the gas pump (Iran can follow the money trail). The reason Israel is "threatened" is because they bully the entire region because they know we have their back, that needs to end.
