It's getting out of hand, and if the suits at NBC Universal don't do something to put an end to it soon, it could spell doom for their entire family of networks...as well as upending the liberal stranglehold on the black vote.

Let's just be honest in acknowledging that the left-wing media have done a miraculous job at hiding one of the dirtiest secrets in the country for several decades: that the biggest racists in our culture are wealthy white liberals who have been holding blacks and minorities on the dependency plantation for their own political advantage.

The left's strategy of stripping minorities of their autonomy and independence has resulted in remarkable success at the ballot box for liberals.  It has not, however, translated into improvement in the minority community.  Far from it.  After decades of liberal "civil rights" leadership, the inner cities have never been so bad, black families have never been so broken, and the welfare culture has never been so devastating.

But beyond the dollars-for-votes scheme liberals have been inflicting on blacks and other minorities, there is an ugly underbelly of racism that is seething in the liberal mindset.  Blacks or minorities who dare to think for themselves or who "stray from the liberal plantation" are treated with an element of hostility and vile hatred unparalleled in other instances.  If you want to see the face of true racism, watch while liberals talk about black conservatives.  It doesn't get any uglier or more transparent than that.

While Keith Olbermann and his (only) guest Janeanse Garofalo have done their part to make this crystal clear, and Bill Maher never fails to make his mark on the topic as well, MSNBC has been the go-to example of this very reality.  And they've struck again:

Martin Bashir's television program this afternoon, Democratic strategist and MSNBC analyst Karen Finney said that Republicans are supporting Herman Cain because of his race:

"One of the things about Herman Cain is, I think that he makes that white Republican base of the party feel okay, feel like they are not racist because they can like this guy," Finney said. "I think he giving that base a free pass. And I think they like him because they think he's a black man who knows his place. I know that's harsh, but that's how it sure seems to me."

"Thank you for spelling that out," Bashir responded.

Thank you for spelling that out?  Seriously?  Finney uses the radically offensive phrase "a black man who knows his place" to describe a man who has earned the respect and admiration of countless conservatives as he pursues the highest office in the land (a far cry from "knowing his [lesser] place"), and Bashir doesn't throw her out of his studio, he thanks her for spelling out her racist bile.  This is the status of the liberal intelligentsia.

It wasn't that long ago I wrote a column about how Cain obliterates the left's race card.  It's clear that though that is the case, it won't stop them from trying to use it.  And in the process they are revealing just how disgusting, just how out of touch, just how appalling their own racist proclivities really are.  This has the potential to do immense damage not only to the credibility of MSNBC (there's little more that can be done to damage it at this point), but if folks pay attention, it could begin the unraveling of the left's race charade they have been exploiting for decades.
