It is hard to image a better example of media bias than the current show playing in the political theater nearest you. It is beyond me how any rational person could go to a TEA Party, then an Occupy Wall Street rally, and come away and argue the two are "basically the same." Nevertheless, we have a nation of reporters and politicians trying to convince us that OWS and TEA Parties have much in common. Even our president tried to compare the two by opining both sides simply feel separated from our government and feel as if our institutions are not looking out for us. Hogwash!

Mr. President, you could not be further from the truth. OWS protestors and TEA Partiers are polar opposites. Tea Partiers like myself feel like the federal government is smothering us and our economy, and we do not want our institutions "looking out for us." We want to live our own lives with as little government interference as possible. You must understand, OWS and TEA Partiers have nothing in common when it comes to the core principles behind each movement. We Tea Partiers want a limited federal government; they want an unlimited federal government.
The only thing in common between the two is that we are both protesting. What we are protesting, and how we are protesting is entirely different. We want to rein in the federal government's reach into our lives. They want to expand the powers of the federal government even more. We want every citizen to pay the same rate of taxes. They want to take more and more from the rich - Marxist dogma at its worst. They hate capitalism, and we love it.
And don't get me started on this bologna about OWS being a campaign about greed. They are just as greedy as any Wall Street executive. They simply want to take it using the force of law. At least Wall Street executives are willing to work for and earn their profits. Don't fool yourself...the poor can be just as guilty of greed as the rich.
TEA Parties have been conducted peacefully and in complete cooperation with government officials and regulations. Look how clean an area is after a TEA Party in contrast to the filth left behind by an OWS rally. And beyond the filth, consider that there have been hundreds of arrests at OWS rallies in just over a month. That's hundreds more than the TEA Parties which have been attended by millions for over 30 months.
In spite of all the attempts to paint TEA Partiers as a bunch of crazies just looking for an opportunity to incite violence, the leftist media are doing their best to sugar coat the violent threats against the enemies of OWS. The left sees violence when it's not there, and doesn't see it when it is. Amazing! I am trusting that the majority of people watching this political theater will see through the left's pathetic attempts at distorting reality.
