Extort: a. to wrest or wring (money, information, etc.) from a person by violence, intimidation, or abuse of authority; obtain by force, torture, threat, or the like. b. to take illegally by reason of one's office.

Consider carefully the above definition. Now, onto the lib-quote of the week...

"In 2008, when Flint had 265 sworn officers on their police force, there were 35 murders and 91 rapes in this city," [Vice-President] Biden said. "In 2010, when Flint had only 144 police officers, the murder rate climbed to 65 and rapes--just to pick two categories--climbed to 229. In 2011, you now only have 125 shields. God only knows what the numbers will be this year for Flint if we don't rectify it."

The only time that liberals are interested in law enforcement and national security is when they can threaten to eliminate their jobs when they are facing budget cuts. Pass the Obama jobs bill - another fiscal boondoggle - or face violence. Not much different than a bunch of neighborhood goons going into local businesses and demanding "protection" money. Pay up, or expect your windows broken out and fires to flare up.

The reality is that this bunch of taxpayer money won't be used to beef up law enforcement. Besides, even if it was used for such a thing, these are the same law enforcement officers who would get in trouble for enforcing the law? Anyone remember the policeman and the university professor that ended up with the President sitting everyone down for a beer?

Yep, keep spending our nation into oblivion or expect to see more crime.

Chicago-style politics, anyone?
